🍲 Pine Ridge Civic League Annual Meeting & Chili Cook Off 🍲
Join us for our Annual Pine Ridge Civic League Meeting as we bring back a longtime neighborhood favorite — the Chili Cook Off! This year’s event will take place on Sunday, February 22nd at 3:00 PM on Piney Bark Court, graciously hosted by some of our wonderful neighbors.
We’ll begin the afternoon with a 30-minute social hour from 3:00–3:30 PM, giving neighbors time to mingle, catch up, and sample the chili entries. You’ll also be able to enjoy chili throughout the meeting, so no need to rush your tasting!
🗂️ The business portion of the meeting will begin at 3:30 PM, and will include:
An overview of the 2026 Civic League Budget (to be shared with neighbors ahead of time)
A look at events planned for the 2026 calendar
A discussion of neighborhood survey results and feedback
🏆 To wrap things up, we’ll tally the votes and announce the winner of the Pine Ridge Civic League Chili Cook Off, who will take home bragging rights and the official Chili Cook Off Trophy.
🌶️ Interested in competing?
We’re counting on neighbors to help make this event a success by bringing their favorite chili recipe to share. Tables and power will be provided — just bring whatever you prefer to keep your chili warm. If you’d like to participate, please sign up using the link on this page so we can plan accordingly.
This event is a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, enjoy some great food, and stay informed about what’s ahead for Pine Ridge in 2026. We hope to see you there!
🚗 Parking Information
While we’ll do our best to avoid taking up the entire court, parking on Windy Pines Bend is recommended for this event. If you do need to park closer due to mobility needs or other circumstances, please let us know ahead of time and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
🌤️ Weather Considerations
Late February in Virginia Beach typically brings average temperatures in the mid-40s to low-50s, which can make for a comfortable afternoon outdoors. That said, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the forecast as the event approaches. If needed, we may deploy a large tent and heaters to help keep everyone comfortable — though we’re hoping for a mild day!
Chili is prepared in home kitchens. Attendees with food allergies should use their best judgment.
